I am a hair stylist because I have always loved making people feel pretty. Because I like to make people’s day better. I love the way hair feels. And because I like to spend time with people. Because it makes people feel better for more than just a moment. I do hair because it’s fun! Honesty, I am always forthright about your hair and whether a style will work for your hair type or texture. Integrity and service, my career depends upon the happiness and trust of those sitting in my chair. I take that very seriously. Your happiness is my goal.
(1-5 weeks) single stylist retouch (base only) color & haircut, shampoo, deep condition, blowout and iron as needed.
Full head balayage, highlight or lowlight shampoo, deep condition and haircut, blowdry and iron as needed.
Retouch base 3-5weeks out growth, on base highlight and/or lowlight, shampoo, deep condition, plus haircut, blowdry and iron as needed.
Shampoo, condition, haircut, blowdry & style as needed. Any amount of hair removal throughout the entire head is a haircut

I run a hair salon based in the beautiful city of Portland, and I have been in Portland since 1988 and had my own business since 1991. I offer a large variety of hairdressing & stylist services from haircuts for males, females, and children, styling, coloring, wedding appointments, deep conditioning, and more. My family-like atmosphere is what we treasure the most about my business. Many of my customers have been with me since we founded our business over 20 years ago. In fact, the very name ‘MyLois’ was a creation of my customers, as this was the term of endearment used when referring to me, the salon owner, Lois. I have a lifelong passion for hairdressing, with over 40 years of stylist experience within the industry. Having also worked for major manufacturers, Framesi Loreal Sebastian and Joico, to name a few. From the moment you sit in one of my chairs, you’ll feel both listened to and heard. Lois Milare
I have been doing hair as a stylist for a little more than 43 years. I have been an educator and trainer for companies including Framesi, Joico, Sébastian, Loŕeal, and Davines. However, for the last several years I have had my own space. Pre Covid I was doing at least 2 photoshoots per year for my own creativity. Using my clients as my muses. As for education these days I am constantly pursuing knowledge through YouTube.
